Sufficient Grace

Sufficient Grace

Sufficient Grace

“Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God” (Psalm 20:7)

Without a doubt, no matter what storms you face in life, God will pull you to safety if you call on Him. He is the one that can save you from certain defeat and give you the hope you need. When you pray to Him, He will deliver you from the sin that threatens your fellowship with Him.

An eternal sense of peace and security is readily available to us through prayer. Panic and anxiety are no match for God’s grace. He goes before us into life’s battles. The victory is ours, though it does not come through our efforts or strength. It comes from His hands and His grace. No one is more committed to our success than Christ.

No matter what you face, God’s grace is sufficient. His power is revealed and made perfect through your weakness. Never be ashamed to cry out to the Lord. He listens for you and will come to you, fulfilling the promise of His matchless, perfect grace.

Prayer: Lord, my Savior, thank You for coming to my rescue. I know that Your grace is sufficient for me. Thank You for being my peace and security. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Standing at the Crossroads

Standing at the Crossroads

Exodus 3:7 tells us God heard the cries of His people. He knew they were suffering in exile. Yet their promised deliverance lingered, and because days stretched into weeks and weeks into months and months into years, they began to wonder if God had forgotten them.

Have you ever caught yourself wondering the same thing? Maybe you have obeyed Him and followed Him faithfully, but now you are standing at a crossroads of hope and doubt.

Choose to hope in the Lord. He has not forgotten you. He has heard your cry, and He is working behind the scenes to deliver you. Timing is everything with God. He knows when you are in the right position to move on to the next step. You can be sure of this: He won’t be late; He will be right on time!

Moses had almost forgotten what it was like to hear the distressing cries of God’s people. He had been banished to the wilderness, but not to be punished. Instead, he was being trained for a greater purpose.

In the beginning, Moses thought he had to take matters into his own hands. He ended up killing an Egyptian, which was not a part of God’s plan. After this incident, the Lord drew him aside for 40 years—silencing his heart and tempering Moses so he would be willing to humbly obey and trust His leading.

If you feel as though you have been set aside by the Lord, know that you are not being punished. You are being readied for the next step. Make sure your obedience is unconditional and your willingness to follow the Lord is sincere.

“Now I commit you to God and to the word of his grace, which can build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified” (Acts 20:32).

Have a blissful productive new week with divine victory in the name of Jesus Christ (Amen)

The Power of Light

The Power of Light

The Power of Light

Read Matthew 5:14-16.

In the Sermon on the Mount, Jesus told His disciples, “You are the light of the world” (Matthew 5:14). What did He mean by that? He meant: Your light should shatter the darkness. Your light should lead others to Christ. Your light should expose error and lead people to the Truth.

Someone may say, “My faith is very private,” but that is not Biblical faith. True faith in Jesus is visible. It’s meant to be a light—and it’s meant to be a light for the world. Your light must shine in the marketplace, on the factory floor, in the boardroom, at the office, on your school campus. Wherever you go, there goes the light—because you are the light.

When people see someone who is loving and forgiving, joyful and generous, they take notice. When they see someone who is not short-tempered or angry but peaceful and content, they ask questions. And that is your greatest opportunity to tell them who changed you. Whether you know it or not, these people are wondering, ‘Can I, too, stop being so angry and selfish and fretful? Can I, too, have that peace no matter what comes my way?’ Jesus said when people see your light shining, they are going to glorify your Father in heaven (see Matthew 5:16).

Of course, not everyone loves the light. You see, every person you have ever met is either a child of light or a child of darkness. The whole world is divided that way. Every nation, every tribe, every tongue is divided between the children of light and the children of darkness. There are those who sit in darkness and have grown quite comfortable. They will not welcome your light because they know that by it their deeds will be exposed and reproved—and they don’t like the thought of that. They will feel threatened when they see your light, and their desire will be to push it far away or to put it out entirely. Don’t be surprised by this. Some people will ask questions, and we must be ready to give an answer, but some will not.

Today, make sure to do all you can to keep your light burning bright and strong. The way to do this is by walking closely with Jesus Christ, “The true light that gives light to everyone” (John 1:9).
Prayer: Father, forgive me for the times I have hidden the light of Christ in me. May I use every opportunity You bring to lead people to the Light of the World. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.

“You are the light of the world. A town built on a hill cannot be hidden” (Matthew 5:14).
