The Antidote to Fear

The Antidote to Fear

For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline” (2 Timothy 1:7).

Fear hinders your potential for God and robs your joy. It can ruin your family, friendships, and relationship with God. It always masquerades as something else—as extreme caution, timidity, insecurity, a lack of confidence, or procrastination. Do you live in fear? If you are constantly afraid, then you may be living behind bars more powerful than steel.

Paul—along with many other Biblical heroes—discovered the antidote to fear: faith in Christ! In other words, when you realize that God is in total control of your life, fear will be banished, for “perfect love drives out fear” (1 John 4:18). In Acts 18:1-17, we see how God strengthened Paul at a time when discouragement could have defeated him.

Firstly, God provided Paul with godly friends. Aquila and Priscilla came to Corinth from Rome because Emperor Claudius made a declaration that all Jews, whether they were Christian Jews or not, must leave the city of Rome. By God’s providence, they ended up in Corinth.

Secondly, God blessed Paul’s faithfulness. Despite the havoc that ensued following his uncompromised preaching of the Gospel and its poor reception by the Corinthian crowd, God sustained Paul and blessed his faithfulness as a Jewish leader and his family came to Christ.

Thirdly, God fellowshipped with Paul personally in a very special way, speaking to him in a vision: “Do not be afraid; keep on speaking, do not be silent. For I am with you, and no one is going to attack and harm you, because I have many people in this city” (Acts 18:9-10). God made it clear that Paul would fulfill His purpose in Corinth and that there were many people to be won to Christ in that city.

And fourthly, God frustrated the enemy’s plan to thwart the spread of the Gospel (see Acts 18:12-17). The Jews took Paul before the proconsul to have him decree it unlawful for Paul to proclaim the Gospel. But instead of having a landmark decision to stop the Great Commission throughout the Roman Empire, what did the proconsul do? Gallio, who was known for his acute sense of justice, dismissed the case.

Are you currently facing challenges? Just as God ministered to Paul in Corinth, He will minister to you in your trials as you are faithful to Him. When you desire to honor and serve God, He will provide for your every need. When your life’s goal is to glorify the Lord Jesus Christ, God will always minister to you

Praying for God’s Will

Praying for God’s Will

“But while Joseph was there in the prison, the LORD was with him” (Genesis 39:20-21).

Joseph spent years confined to an Egyptian dungeon. While he had done nothing to deserve imprisonment, God knew that Joseph’s faith needed to be tested. God would fulfill His promises, but first He wanted to grow Joseph’s faith—strengthening Him with His presence in every circumstance. Joseph did not avoid personal surrender. He knew that if he did, he would risk missing God’s will and purpose for his life—so he called upon the Lord.

If God has allowed you to settle in a difficult place—pray. But don’t just pray for a way of escape. Instead, pray for the Lord to work His good pleasure into your life. If there is a need for discipline, be willing to receive it so that you will experience the blessings of God.

Trying to manipulate the Lord’s will through prayer never works. Instead of solving the problem, this can lead to frustration. Therefore, we need to be willing to trust God and wait for His answer.

There will be times when we think we cannot face another trial or another minute of persecution. Jesus understands our weaknesses. The night of His arrest He prayed, “My Father, if it is not possible for this cup to be taken away unless I drink it, may your will be done” (Matthew 26:42). Earlier, He had taught His disciples to pray, “[Y]our will be done,” so they would know how to submit their wills to God just as He had submitted His (6:10).

God knows the hurts, disappointments, and frustrations you are facing, but He longs to hear you pray what Christ prayed in the garden the night of His arrest: “Yet not as I will, but as you will” (Matthew 26:39). Is this the prayer of your heart?

Prayer: God, I come to You in a difficult place. I pray that Your will would be accomplished in this season of my life. Help me to trust You and wait on You. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.

Have a blissful productive new month with divine wisdom in the name of Jesus Christ (Amen)

Look Up to God

Look Up to God

In Acts 16, Paul had “one of those days.” On the way to the house of prayer, a young slave woman began following him and Silas. Her shouts were meant to draw unwanted attention to the apostle. In reality, the enemy was seeking to run Paul and his evangelistic team out of town. But Paul commanded the harassing spirit to leave this young woman (see Acts 16:18).

Her owners, who made money through her fortune-telling, were not happy. Frustrations grew until the entire city of Philippi erupted.
The crowd joined in the attack against Paul and Silas, and the magistrates ordered them to be stripped and beaten with rods. After they had been severely flogged, they were thrown into prison, . . . (Acts 16:22-23)
If anyone had a reason to be depressed, it was Paul and Silas. Yet, they did not allow their circumstances to cause them to question the providence of God. Instead, they turned a bad situation into one of praise to the Lord (see Acts 16:25).

God had a plan for their imprisonment. At midnight the door to their jail cell opened, and they were free men—but they did not leave because they knew it would mean death for the jailer who had been given the charge to watch over them. He was amazed by their commitment to God and accepted Christ as his Savior, but the story did not end there. The jailer’s entire family was saved, and the next morning Paul and Silas were freed.

The next time you are tempted to be downcast, look up to God. Ask Him to use you as an instrument of Truth, hope, and encouragement to others. Pass His love on, and you will be set free from every thought of depression.
Prayer: Though my world seems unstable and ever-changing, I will praise You, Lord. Open my eyes to opportunities where You are calling me to be bold. I pray in the name of Jesus. Amen.

“After Paul and Silas came out of the prison, they went to Lydia’s house, where they met with the brothers and sisters and encouraged them” (Acts 16:40).

Speak to that mountain by Faith

Speak to that mountain by Faith

For verily I say unto you, that whosover shall say unto this mountain, be thou removed, and be thou cast into the sea; and shall not doubt in his heart, but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass; he shall have whatsover he saith,”(Mark 11:23)

What are mountain? Mountain are obstacle, barrier, blockage, hindrance, stopping block. Your present mountain may be fear to take major decision to the next levels, decision of career change, decision for new project, decision for geographical relocation to new environment?

For God’s to remove this mountain, seek for God’s divine direction. The bible says thy word is a lamp unto my feet, and a light unto my path (Psalm 119:105) The secret things belong unto the Lord our God’s but those things which are revealed belong unto us and to our children for ever (Deuteronomy 29:29) With the divine direction you can speak to every mountain and they shalt become plain. The bible says who are thou, O great mountain? Before Zerubbabel thou shalt become a plain: and he shall bring forth the head stone thereof with shoutings, crying grace, grace unto it.(Zechariah 4:7) That’s why I pray someone this new month the bible says thou shalt also decree a thing, and it shall be established unto thee and the light shall shine upon thy ways (Job 22:28)

I decree prophetically upon your life this month receive faith with divine direction that will remove hindrances, barriers on your way to the next levels in the name of Jesus Christ (Amen!)

Have a blissful productive new month with divine favour in the name of Jesus Christ (Amen)

Sufficient Grace

Sufficient Grace

“Some trust in chariots and some in horses, but we trust in the name of the LORD our God” (Psalm 20:7)

Without a doubt, no matter what storms you face in life, God will pull you to safety if you call on Him. He is the one that can save you from certain defeat and give you the hope you need. When you pray to Him, He will deliver you from the sin that threatens your fellowship with Him.

An eternal sense of peace and security is readily available to us through prayer. Panic and anxiety are no match for God’s grace. He goes before us into life’s battles. The victory is ours, though it does not come through our efforts or strength. It comes from His hands and His grace. No one is more committed to our success than Christ. No matter what you face, God’s grace is sufficient. That’s why I pray for someone this morning as you put your trust in the Lord that situation you are going through the grace of the Lord is sufficient for you in the name of Jesus Christ (Amen)

I decree upon your life you shall be victorious in the name of Jesus Christ (Amen)

Have a blissful productive new month with divine turnaround in the name of Jesus Christ (Amen)
